FaxPress Administrator’s Guide
2—4
When the unit is powered on, the red and green LEDs flash through a power-on
sequence for about 15 seconds. The red LED remains illuminated after the
sequence completes. This indicates that the FaxPress server is functional but is not
communicating with the network. Install the FaxPress server software to establish
network communication.
LED Indicators
All FaxPress models have the same set of LED indicators, positioned either on the
front (SBE) or on the back (2500, 5000, 7000/7500) of the unit.
The LEDs indicate FaxPress status and network activity, and are a useful
troubleshooting tool. For more information regarding using the LEDs for
troubleshooting, see
"Interpreting LEDs" in Appendix B.
